City of Shadows

Our good friend Mike Le Han refuses to slow down. After a successful festival season for his multi award-winning and highly praised short film „Mrs Peppercorn’s Magical Reading Room”, the British filmmaker is already preparing his next cinematic effort. Working closely with conceptual artist Paul Gerrard, Le Han has conceived an epic post-apocalyptic scifi fantasy that should make pretty much everything from „I am Legend” to „War of the Worlds” look pale.

Set in the aftermath of an alien invasion, „City of Shadows” follows protagonist Mason Hunter waking up in the middle of an epic war. Human civilisation is being eradicated completely and only few people are left. As the story moves on, Mason has to find out that he himself might be the very cause of the apocalypse.

Le Han has just finished the script and already received huge Hollywood interest. Accompanied by a detailed pitch document and an impressive rip-o-matic (trust, we saw it), the package is said to be released within the next few weeks. Gerrard has recently been doing conceptual art for „Battle Los Angeles” as well as the upcoming „Wrath of the Titans” and created a dark and sinister look for Le Han’s dystopia.
