THE ABCs OF DEATH: Ryan Levin and Jack Perez might join with T IS FOR TANTRUM

T is for Tantrum

A panicky five year old boy loses a baby tooth and all hell breaks loose. The „tragically hilarious chain of events“ that follows might have the chance to become part of the upcoming horror anthology „The ABCs of Death“, currently in production by Drafthouse Films. Consisting of 26 shorts with each chosing a single letter of the alphabet to describe the arrival of the reaper, the project is still looking for one entry. „T is for Tantrum“ could help out. The script is completed, a professional crew lined up and locations are locked in. The only problem: The short is not produced yet. Right now, author Ryan Levin and director Jake Perez try to crowdfund their version of death via Kickstarter.

Levin, a regular writer for Disney Channel („I’m in the band“), started his writing career on the hit series „Scrubs“ and gained himself some genre fame with his multiple-award-winning horror-comedy short „The Fifth“. The script for his first feature „Some Guy who kills People“ caught the attention of John Landis who ended up joining as an executive producer. Jack Perez, having collaborated with the likes of Sam Raimi, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, directed the film with Kevin Corrigan („Fringe“) in the lead and is now teaming up with Levin once again.

While showing their feature at this year’s Vegas Cine Fest, the filmmaking duo grabbed actor Barry Bostwick and shot a little sketch to advertise their project. It can be seen in its entirety on their Kickstarter page. Pledging is open until Sunday Oct 9, 3:41 pm EDT. Backers receive attractive rewards including various producer credits and screen time in the film itself.
